Use this page to create, edit or delete a TNSName entry.

TNSNames are an Oracle feature that allows administrators to specify the characteristics of an Oracle connection in a systemwide file. Each entry in a TNSNames file corresponds to a database connection to an Oracle server (or group of servers). Banner ePrint allows you to edit entries in this file using a standard ePrint page rather than using a command-line text editor.

To create a new TNSNames entry:

Left  Enter an alphanumeric identifier for your new message and click Create. The system will display the "Edit TNSnames Entry" (new entry) page.

To edit a TNSName entry:

Edit  Highlight the TNSName entry you want to change and click Edit. The system will display the "Edit TNSName Entry" page.

To delete a TNSName entry:

Delete  Highlight the TNSName entry you want to delete and click Delete. A confirmation dialog will appear, to verify your intentions. Click OK to delete the entry.
