The "Initialize Repository" page appears when you select Initialize Repository from the Super Administrator Tasks section at the bottom of the main menu. (Only the designated super administrator for your site will be able to view this section of the "Choose Administrative Task" page.)

After you create a repository (via the repository configuration wizard), you must initialize it before it can be used by the Banner ePrint system. The initialization process creates the control files, ftp users (so that data can be transferred from your report-generating application to the ePrint server) and directories required by ePrint. The system will prompt you for all the necessary information.

Select the repository and click the Initialize button.

InitializeFrom the Uninitialized Repositories scroll box, select (highlight) the repository you wish to initialize and click the Initialize button. If there are no uninitialized repositories, a system message will be displayed, and the scroll box will not appear. (To create a repository, use the repository configuration wizard.)

After you click the Initialize button, a separate page will appear to prompt your input for creating the FTP users. For information on that page, see "Creating the FTP Users".
