NOTE: This help page describes a specific section of the Report Definition File Wizard. If you need more background information on this wizard, see the "Using the Report Definition File Wizard" topic.
This section of the Report Definition File Wizard enables you to specify the person or persons to be notified by e-mail when an instance of this report has been downloaded to the Banner ePrint server. You may define an unlimited number of notification IDs (sets of users) for each report.
Click the Add button near the bottom of the dialog. Then fill-in-the-blanks with the appropriate information about the notification ID, as outlined below.
Idtype: | From the drop-down list box, make a selection that corresponds to your requirements, as described below. |
---|---|
GROUP: Select this option to notify all the users associated with a particular ePrint user group. *NOTE : This applies to EPRINT defined repositories only. | |
ADMINGROUP: Select this option to notify all the administrators associated with the repository for this report. | |
EMAIL: Select this option to send a notification to a particular e-mail address. | |
Group: | If Idtype=GROUP (see above), you will be prompted to select the user group from a drop-down list box. This list will include all the groups defined for the repository you are maintaining. |
Repository: | If Idtype=ADMINGROUP (see above), ePrint will show you the repository to which the notification ID applies. This field is protected, and cannot be updated by the user. It is the repository which you are currently maintaining. Notification e-mails will be sent to all the administrators defined for this repository. (In order for the super administrator to receive an e-mail, he or she must be defined as a repository administrator.) |
Email Address: | If Type=EMAIL (see above), key in the e-mail address(es) to which a notification should be sent. If there are more than one address, separate the e-mail addresses with commas. |
Note: | A short note to be included in the body of the email. |
Select the Delete button at the bottom of the notification ID you wish to remove. The ID will be removed from the report definition when you finish the wizard.
