NOTE: This help page describes a specific section of the Report Definition File Wizard. If you need more background information on this wizard, see the "Using the Report Definition File Wizard" topic.
This section of the Report Definition File Wizard enables you to identify the "junk pages" of the report you are defining. You can specify one or more ranges of pages that Banner ePrint will skip (ignore) when formatting the report. Junk pages might contain diagnostics, title information, parameters, or any other data that the end user does not need to see.
Click the Add button, and a series of blank fields will appear. Select and/or key in the information described below. When you finish the wizard, the range is created and added to the report definition.
Type: | From the drop-down list box, select RANGE to specify a range of pages to be ignored, LAST to indicate that the last page of the report should not be loaded, LINES to indicate that a number of lines should be skipped. (LINES should only be used when it is otherwise impossible to get the parser to start on the correct page, such as when using special forms.) or LAST PAGES to specify the range of pages at the end of the report to be ignored. |
---|---|
Start: | If Type=RANGE (see above), key in the first page number of the junk page range. |
End: | If Type=RANGE (see above), key in the final page number of the junk page range. To skip a single page, use that page number in both the "Start" and "End" fields. |
Lines: | If Type=LINES (see above), key in the absolute number of lines to skip, disregarding any page breaks. |
Last Pages: | If Type=LAST PAGES (see above), key in the absolute number of lines to skip from the end of the report. A minimum of 2 is required. |
Select the Delete button at the bottom of the junk page range you wish to delete. The range is removed from the report definition when you finish the wizard.
