This section of the Report Definition File Wizard provides basic information to Banner ePrint about the report. It appears when you select a report definition for creating or editing; that is, it is the starting page for the wizard. The fields are described below.
Repository: | This field is protected, and cannot be updated by the user. You may only add reports to the repository in which you are logged into. If you need to define a report to another repository, you'll need change repositories. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Filename: | Type the name to be used for the downloaded file. This field is optional. If not supplied, ePrint uses the ID as the filename. This field is used to provide information about file extensions, e.g., .txt or .prt. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Input File Format: | Select the format of the input file for this report: PDF,TEXT(the default option),HTML,DOC (Microsoft® Word),PPT (Microsoft® PowerPoint),XLS (Microsoft® Excel),RTF (Rich Text Format file),CSV (Comma-Separated Value file)or NBTXT (Non-breaking Text, treated like PDF, etc.). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Top of Form: | Select the file format/operating system used on your host system:(BANNER or BANNER_ALT for Banner, MVS, IBM_GENERIC or VSE for IBM systems, VMS for VAX systems, FOCUS_VMS for focus reports produced on the VMS platform, PLUS_AIX for AIX platform, FIXED_LENGTH for PC Applications, or MVS_INTERLINK for reports produced on the MVS platform and downloaded with Interlink TCP/IP), and others.. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Lines per Page: | Type the number of lines per page in the report. This is required in order for ePrint to properly format the report. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Page Format: | This field indicates the orientation and format of the page when rendered as PDF. LANDSCAPE is the default value, and produces a horizontal page suitable for 132-character-wide reports. There are other LANDSCAPE options (LANDSCAPE_BOLD, LANDSCAPE8, LANDSCAPE7, LANDSCAPE6, LANDSCAPE5, LANDSCAPE4) for reports wider than 132 characters. Select PORTRAIT for a vertical page suitable for 80-character-wide reports. Additional PORTRAIT options include, PORTRAIT10, PORTRAIT9, PORTRAIT8, and PORTRAIT7. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Authorization Type: | For this report, select either VBS (if value-based security is to be used restrict access to pages of the report) or ALL (if users will be able to see all of the report, with no checks for VBS). If you choose VBS, the Authorization Type on the Security Definition File Wizard must also be set to VBS. Number of Report Instances: | For this report, indicate the number of instances of this report you would like to save. A value of ALL will keep all instances of the report. |
