Text Data Typically, you will download reports from Banner ePrint as PDF files for viewing and printing via Adobe® Reader. Occasionally you may wish to download the report as a text file (*.txt) or data file (*.csv). Text files can be opened in any text editor, and data files can be opened in a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft® Excel. If so, use the appropriate icon shown above. You can download an entire report or selected pages (if the report has been defined with page keys) as a text or data file. Depending on the browser you are using, the procedure varies slightly, as described below.

To download the file via Microsoft® Internet Explorer:

Using your alternate (i.e., right-click) mouse button, select the appropriate icon and then select Save Target As... from the menu that appears. A Save As dialog will be displayed, with a default name and location for the text file. Specify the folder and filename you wish to use and select Save.

NOTE: If you forget to right-click the icon and instead use your primary mouse button, a warning will appear that indicates the file will be downloaded to your browser. To avoid possible problems, you should cancel the download and start over.

To download the file via Mozilla® Firefox or other browsers:

Select the appropriate icon, and your browser will display a Save As dialog box with a default name and location for the file. Specify the folder and filename you wish to use and select Save.
